So you’re a photographer? Well we think thats awesome! Photographers change the world with their images… they’re able to give a unique perspective, add colour to a story or ignite passion and wonderment. It’s difficult to take an excellent photograph but if you do, you can touch peoples hearts in the most profound way. Sometimes its about being at the right place at the right time and in other instances its about a detailed process as you refine to get “the perfect shot”.
On 11/11/11 as a photographer we want to you to pick up your camera and shoot your day – whether thats 1 unique photograph of a collection – we want to see YOUR world – YOUR perspective. Remember EVERY image MUST be captured during that 24 hour period on 11/11/11.
We all know a picture paints a thousand words – so see this as an opportunity to make a statement. What do you want to say about life on planet earth in the 21st century? What can you see that no one else can? It can be a fun snapshot, an experimental visual representation, a controlled environment or captured on the go – it’s completely up to you….

I’ve taken my photo on 11/11/11 – now what?
Firstly – well done! We’re super excited to see your work.
Secondly – upload your photograph to flickr – and now here’s the really really REALLY important part – make sure you tag it #11ElevenLIVE
Why should I tag it #11ElevenLIVE? Because it makes it a lot easier for us to find your images…. as you can imagine, millions of people upload content everyday on the web – so we need to be able to differentiate your work from the works of other….
CHECK – I’ve uploaded my photo/s – now what?
Now you get to tell us all about your photo/s – why you took it, what inspired it and who helped you…. what you need to do is go to the 11Eleven Project Website and click on Submit. Follow the instrictions and send away….
Now that you have my photos what are you going to do with them?
After we stop admiring how brilliant you are, we will start shortlisting the top photos which will be included in some of our projects including our feature film, photographic book (that’s right a gorgeous coffee table book) and our album cover artwork…..BUT WAIT – there’s more….. Marie Claire Magazine have also agree to publish some of their favourite photographs from the day, so its an excellent opportunity for you to showcase you talent to the world!
